Tubing on the Caddo River
The Caddo is a great place to relax and cool off with a refreshing tubing trip during a sunny spring or summer day. The water is clear, cold and clean flowing out of DeGray lake, one of the cleanest lakes in the South.
It only takes 2 or 3 hours for a short float from the lower dam to the Interstate 30 bridge and the Two Rivers Canoe Rental put-in point (see map). So get some friends together and rent some tubes for the weekend or after school or work.
Take out Points
On short floats the take out point is at the Caddo River Bridge. For long floats, it's the Arkadelphia Take-Out Point at the Ouachita River Bridge Park. Being the end of the float, feel free to use the available picnic and camping areas.
Also, remember to enjoy the large gravel bars along the river for camping or picnicking.
